Saturday, June 2 - Trip to Northern Bay of Fundy
Our motorhome is presently camped at Ridge Valley Campground near Digby in the Southwest part of Nova Scotia below:
We moved here from our WalMart site because we needed to drain the holding tanks, fill the water tank and run a few loads of laundry in our washing machine without using up our tank reserves. It also gives an opportunity to use electricity with impunity without running the generator or draining the batteries. We might stay here another night if we can book a whale watching cruise from Brier Island tomorrow. Brier Island is all the way at the tip of the narrow peninsula on the southwest side of NS.
Today we took a long car trip up to the Northern end of the Bay of Fundy. We took the coastal roads up and saw a few quaint villages and a lot of farm land. While there, we stopped at Wolfsville, a charming coastal town that's also the home of Acadia University. While there, we stopped at the information center and got some tips about scenic places and a good seafood restaurant. We took the freeway back and arrived at the motorhome about 7:30pm. Barb was expecting to watch the Stanley Cup finals, but the satellite service (DirectTv) has blocked it and made it a pay to view service.
We're taking the opportunity to get extended showers while we have unlimited water,
