Thursday, June 14 - Sprint to Central Massachusetts

Today we got an early start and drove all the way to central Massachusetts. We stopped at Freeport, ME for about 2 hours to go to the LL Bean outlet store, then back on the road. We arrived at our campground about 5:00pm. We have electricity, water and sewer here, so were able to replenish our expendables, do laundry, get showers and dump tanks. Today we're planning to drive to someplace TBD north of Scranton where we'll spend the night, returning home on Saturday.

Wednesday, May 30 Cog Railway, Mt Washington, NH

Today we left our overnight campground in Monson, MA ( a WalMart) and drove drove about 4 hours to the Mt. Washington, NH Cog Railway for a trip to the summit of Mt Washington. We got there 15 minutes before the departure of the last trip of the day and got on a car just as it was about to leave. Mt. Washington is an amazing place to read about, home of the highest winds ever recorded by man (235 mph). Fortunately for us, it was a rare clear and calm day, albeit cold at the almost 7,000 ft summit.
